Tooth Replacement

Dental crowns are used by our dentists to fix damaged tooth structures when infection, decay or injury to the oral cavity causes the loss of large parts of natural teeth. The custom-made crowns then secure fixed bridgework that can fill in gaps in the smile and provides beautiful smile aesthetics as well as normalized speaking and chewing. The most popular kind of bridge is called the traditional bridge. Two crowns are attached to neighboring teeth on the opposite end of the space, with the pontic between. Another option is the bridge that is a cantilever. It is a very durable restoration, but it’s not as effective in certain situations when the bite force is not evenly dispersed across the tooth supporting it.
